Grizedale Forest is a wonderful setting for learning. It is a working forest, has natural habitats, it is a tourist destination with adventurous activities and it's an outdoor gallery, with over 60 pieces of artwork created in and for the woodland setting. The combination of all this makes it a unique place for education and learning activities. The Yan, our forest learning centre, provides a perfect base from which groups can discover and explore.
Our experienced team offers a wide range of programmes to suit all ages and abilities from Sculpture in the Forest, Blindfold Trail and Shelter Building to Tourism, Ecology and Forestry topics. There are programmes for key stages 1-6 as well as vocational courses. Tertiary programmes are tailored to suit your group from MSc Forestry to BA Architecture.
